A coworker just sent this vieo demo out to me. I wasn’t sure what was going on at first, but after a few seconds, you start seeing what is going on. It is a very creative what to add entertainment, interactivity to a 3D navigational first person game. The night time is really cool too.
Some would argue, “why have the need to shoot splatter balls to define your environment?” Or, “why not just use a flashlight?”
To me, this a step in a very creative and imaginative direction. It’s entertainment and a push of technology. These are the same people that ask how does an X-Wing really fly in space and maintain control physically, yet do not ask the question, “why is there something in the bloodstream of a being, can exist across multiple species of aliens, and how does it make them super powered Jedi’s?”
It’s been about 6 months into my new hosting with Hostmonster and I must say, I am very satisfied. I have had no issues, the UI is easy to use and maneuver, management has been fairly simple be it a database, security settings, DNS, file management, FTP, and all of the other aspects of a domain and host.
Aside from the great service, features and functionality, their prices are very low and they offer quite a bit in regards to additional services with your hosting plan.
Here is the pumpkin I carved this year. I haven’t carved one in a couple years, and it turned out to be pretty fun.
I had no idea what I was going to do, I saw some pumpkin on TV with a brain, so i thought that was a cool idea. I just started carving and this is the ugly thing that resulted.
I used a steak knife, and a metal shish-kabob skewer. I wish I had some wood or clay carving tools, but this is as good as I could get it with basic utensils.
If you’re a Colorado resident and registered voter, you can apply to vote by mail-in ballot rather than waiting in line this year.
This is Colorado’s longest ballot, so planning for extra time to understand the bill would be beneficial. You should receive the 2008 Colorado Ballot Information Booklet in the mail. It is a large book, and has a lot info on the amendments on the ballot. If you’re not familiar with using one of these, they are pretty straight forward.
They provide a general overview of the amendment, summary and analysis, and some go to the length of detailed graphs and charts. Then they provide unbiased Arguments For and Against the amendment which help sum up the item so you can make your decision knowing the arguments and possible repercussions. They also provide a Fiscal Impact summary to notify you if and how it will effect the economy.
You can preview this and even use the “cheat-sheet” in the beginning to note your voting preferences for this election. You can then use this for quick reference for making your voting choices.
Not a registered voter in CO? Monday October 6, is the last day to register to vote in the November election. You can mail in your form and have it postmarked by 5pm October 6 and still make it for this year’s big election!
(You have to be registered 29 days prior to the election date.)
You can get the forms to register on the city’s web site:
Well, everyone has their own perspective and reasoning for their voting choices. If you’re not sure, you should first read the Colorado Ballot information and get an idea of the amendments on the ballot and the candidates running for the various offices. You can review the Colorado ballot here in various languages:
If after you review this and still can’t make a decision, you can find references online that may assist. They will of course be biased based on the party or organization displaying it. An uneducated vote is a poor one though. You might as well be undecided on it. Even though the site below provide a list of their endorsements, I highly encourage you to read the amendments thoroughly and try to gain an understanding yourself. Some may be confusing, in the way they are written, or who they actually benefit, so just try read it over and over, or ask friends for assistance.
You can find several of these sites and their endorsements online from all sides.
You can use this as a quick reference for your voting choices. Again, please do not go with what other people tell you to vote for or suggest, but if you share some of the same beliefs as the site or organization, then there is a good chance their info may help you.
